FarmLite's 10W Solar panel comes with a back mounted 12V charge controller as well as a 5000 mAh battery pack in a waterproof battery box. You should let the solar panel sit in the sun for up to 2 days to charge the batteries initially. (IF IN STATES THAT EXPERIENCE FREEZING TEMPERATURES, WE WILL LEAVE THE BATTERY BOX UNMOUNTED SO YOU CAN PLACE THE BATTERY INSIDE OF THE COOP AND RUN THE WIRING TO THE CHARGE CONTROLLER)
 
All connections are made prior to shipment so all you need to do is let is charge as needed and plug into your FarmLite Chicken Coop Door!
